A gas leak at 147th Place and Outlook in Overland Park has stopped.

Kansas Gas Service crews stopped the leak Monday afternoon.

The Overland Park Fire Department said eight homes were evacuated after the leak. They’re checking the homes before residents return.

Traffic was stopped at 148th and Nall, and at Lamar and Edgewater while crews worked on the leak.
