Units respond to grass fire in Seward County

Multiple fire units and firefighters responded to a grass blaze Sunday afternoon in rural Seward County.

County fire chief Andrew Barkley said around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Fire Rescue was called to a reported grass fire and trailer on fire on U.S. Highway 54 just west of Road P.

“Units arrived on scene to find grass and a trailer on fire,” he said. “Five fire units and nine firefighters responded along with the Seward County Sheriff’s office. There were no injuries.”
