Fires force evacuations in southwest Kansas

KFDI – March 6, 2017

Grass fires have forced some evacuations in southwest Kansas, and strong winds continue to push flames from northwest Oklahoma across the state line.

Evacuations have been ordered in Ashland and Englewood and the Clark State Lake areas in Clark County.

Grass fires were also burning in Ford County and in the Dodge City area. Crews were battling wildfires in Rooks County, and three structures were reported to be on fire near Ransom, in Ness County.
