Damage minimal in Monday fire

McPherson Sentinel – March 8, 2017

A quick response from firefighters Monday night kept a brush fire from burning out of control.

At 11:11 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to 17th Avenue and Comanche Road for a brush fire that had rekindled from a controlled burn. Firefighters extinguished the fire without injury or significant property damage. Due to a high volume of fire calls, McPherson Fire Department has increased the number of firefighters on duty to be able to quickly respond to fires.
