Fire damages central Topeka apartment building

WIBW – April 3, 2017

The Topeka Fire Department says no one was hurt at a central Topeka apartment fire that broke out Saturday night.

TFD says they were called to the 600 block of SW Summit Ave. just before 8 p.m.

When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the building and an apartment on fire.

TFD said the cause of the fire is undetermined but they suspect the fire was caused by careless smoking.

No injuries were reported.
