Four people on board plane as it crashed in a field in Johnson County

KMBC – May 3, 2017

Four people were on board a small plane when it crashed near the New Century Airport in Johnson County, Kansas.

Authorities said that crash happened in a farm field off of 175th and Highway 169 around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Four people were on board at the time of that crash. Only one person was injured. Their injuries are classified as a head laceration.

Johnson County Fire Districts 1 & 2 were called to that scene along with Johnson County MedAct.

No word yet on what caused this crash.
