1 killed, 1 hurt in crash near Peck in south Sedgwick County

KWCH – May 9, 2017

One person is dead and another seriously injured after a crash reported a little before 9 p.m. Monday at West 119th Street South and South 55th West, near Peck along the Sedgwick/Sumner County line.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office said late-Monday an SUV was traveling westbound on 119th Street when it hit a tractor.

One person inside the vehicle died on scene, while a second person was brought to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies said alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the wreck. It’s unclear whether the two injured had seatbelts on.

The Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the tractor was not hurt.
