A one-vehicle accident in Rush County sent one person to the hospital Wednesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, Marissa Wagner, 20, Rush Center, driving a 2012 Chevrolet passenger car, was traveling east on Kansas Highway 96 approximately 4 miles east of Rush Center. For an unknown reason, Wagner went left of center, continuing left and struck a power pole. She was able to get out of the car, and the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
